Naperville, Illinois-based Tease Dance and Fitness is excited to announce it has been named a finalist in Intuit Small Business’ Love a Local Business contest.
Intuit, which offers small business software and services, sponsors the Love A Local Business Contest, which allows communities to vote and decide who “gets some love” among local businesses.
According to Kristin Hubbard, Tease Dance and Fitness’ President and Owner, the $5,000 grant the dance studio was awarded will be used to make updates to the studio as well as open up opportunities for the studio to provide many new types of classes for its students.
Tease Dance and Fitness also has the opportunity to go on to win a larger grant, worth $25,000. Inuit judges will review the three businesses who have won $5,000 grants between July and September to select the one Grand Prize winner of small business grants worth $25,000.
“We so humbled and proud that our students love us so much that we won this grant,” said Hubbard. “So many of our students drive well over an hour to get to our location with no, well maybe a little complaint. This grant is for them as we will use it to open a second location north of our current studio.”
